October 2012

In October I had the good fortune to be the honored guest at the annual meeting of the Japanese Society of Aesthetic Surgery. This was my first in-depth trip to Japan, and it was indeed an extraordinary experience. I gave several talks on the nuances of facelift, necklift, and eyelid surgery and spoke about cosmetic surgical differences in the Caucasian patient in comparison to the Asian patient. My host, Dr.Kaneshige Satoh was extremely gracious and following the meeting arranged for me to have a comprehensive tour of both Kyoto and Nara, the ancient capitals of Japan. Japan is a gorgeous country, and the Japanese people are extremely kind and gracious. I was humbled to have been honored in such extraordinary style and generosity.
